Automated fingerprint scanning using industrial digital camera and the step motor for bullet rotation. The bullet surface is scanned and stretched in 2D using precise matching algorithms. Fingerprints are then enhanced using the digital image processing algorithms. The different illumination models can be applied to enhance the fingerprint using fluorescence effect of powder. Other application functions are database storage for scanned samples, print in real size for fingerprint matching, export to image file keeping 1:1 ratio, export to AFIS system.
