Company Kvant Ltd. was founded in 1995. Since then, it achieved great success in development of own products. It gained many valuable acknowledgements at expositions and competitions of quality. Nowadays more than a half of company's products are exported into 25 countries. The company is owner of ISO 9001:2000 certificiate since 2004. In the present our activities are divided in several major fields:

• Department of special software and hardware is developing and producing special software on demand of customer as well as special hardware solutions, as for example PC cards, electronic adapters and electronic digital processors.
• Department for optical and optical image processing equipment is supplying several optical equipment, as for example microscopes, microtome, lens systems. It is also possible to design and produce a special optical system in accordance with customers’ requirements. All the optical systems can be designed for visible or near infrared as well as far infrared.
• Department of lasers and laser systems is developing, producing and supplying equipment based on laser systems, including gas and semiconductor lasers. The range of laser products starts with laser modules, going through laser marking and engraving systems, medical lasers, laser communication systems to laser projectors.
• Department for didactic and presentation equipment is developing and manufacturing didactic equipment for all levels of schools as well as for other educational institutes. The didactic equipment covers the fields of physics, chemistry, technical fields, biology, geography, history and others. This department also supplies presentation equipment, as for example data and video projectors, LCD screens, overhead projectors, episcopes, projection screens and others.
• Department of security and special equipment is representing companies on Slovak market, producing special equipment used mainly in security and forensic applications, as for example document prove equipment, drug and explosives detectors and others. It is also supplying a smart camera security system using software developed by Department of special software and hardware.

• Complex laboratory information management system for Slovak Police Forensic Institute
• Software and hardware for laser projector drivers and controlling of scanning head for medical laser applications, engrave applications and projection systems.
• Digital image processing software, used in many fields and projects, for example scientific laboratories, forensic institutes, jewellery proof offices and others.
